The e-obs has been very successfully established in a dynamically growing market for years and was ready to add another team member to the executive board.

Due to increasing demands in the industry and the overwhelming daily business, e-obs needed a professional partner with bundled know-how and expertise in the field of executive search for growing small and medium-sized companies in the high-tech & digital business segment.

Combining Executive Search with Embedded Recruitment
Miguel Miranda, Founder & CEO of InnoTalent, has been selected as Executive Search & Talent Partner to assist in the search for a suitable COO & Managing Director Operations (M/W/D).

From job specifications to employer branding to COO search in just 5 months.

1. Profiling

Understanding Your Business – 2 Weeks: For the implementation of an efficient executive search process, we first conducted a detailed inventory of the personnel requirements of e-obs GmbH. On this basis, we defined the candidate profile, COO & Managing Director Operations (M/W/D).

2. Branding

Making Your Business Attractive – 6 Weeks: Without an attractive employer brand on the Internet, it is difficult to attract attractive candidates. How the employer presents itself to the candidate is therefore very important. For this reason, we have polished the website of e-obs within 6 weeks and prepared the complete marketing material for the recruiting campaign.

3. Attracting

Embedded Talent Delivery – 6 Weeks: Before recruiting, the topic of strategy was important in this step. We wanted to find out which online and offline locations our potential COO could be found in and which useful communication channels we wanted to use for this. After intensive research, we found industry-relevant portals and conducted direct search and active sourcing via LinkedIn.

4. Interviewing

Let’s Start Hiring – 4 Weeks: We conducted the initial interviews with candidates first to get a better impression of suitable candidates. In the second interview, qualified candidates were interviewed both with the management of e-obs and with the InnoTalent Executive Search Consultant. This was followed by further in-depth interviews with shortlisted candidates.

5. Onboarding

Smooth Phase-Out – 2 Weeks: In this step, we had to make difficult and strategic decisions before deciding on a candidate. In such critical situations, the management appreciated that we stood by as experts and supported them in making the best decision. In the end, we found an excellent COO who perfectly matched the requirements of the e-obs.
